Waters ChurchandClaude Fable 5.1 26e47c2fdd ProdCom 1.5.0: start ProdCom when it is offline, and turn its API on
ProdCom is a sandboxed Mac App Store app whose HTTP API lives inside it,
behind the UserDefaults switch applicationAPIEnabled — absent means off,
and a running ProdCom does not notice the switch changing; it reads it
at launch. So when the tile says "unreachable" on a booth where ProdCom
runs on the same Mac, there are two causes and two fixes: ProdCom is not
running (open it), or it is running with the API off (set the switch,
quit it, open it again).

The module's server now does both, behind two Admin switches, both on:
"Start ProdCom when it is offline" and "Restart ProdCom to turn its API
on". On a connection-level failure (never an HTTP answer) the supervisor
runs up to three attempts five seconds apart: not running → open -g -b;
running with the switch off → write it, read it back, ask ProdCom to
quit (Apple Event, SIGTERM after 5 s), open it again — at most once per
outage; running with the switch on → keep probing, and only blame the
port if that is still true on the third look, because a quitting ProdCom
still shows in pgrep. A successful run nudges the module to reconnect at
once. It gives up with a tile message until ProdCom answers again, and
does nothing at all for a ProdCom on another machine or off macOS.

The launcher gains the Apple Events entitlement and usage string so the
polite quit can be granted; if it is denied, SIGTERM does the job.

Verified live on the dev Mac against ProdCom 2.3.4: not running + switch
absent → opened, switch written, restarted, Live after two attempts; an
operator's Cmd-Q → reopened. 71 fake-driven tests (node --test), the OS
layer included through an injectable execFile.

Waters ChurchandClaude Fable 5.1 1274360ee6 Send Message 1.0.0: one PIN, one place to send from; Slack 1.3.0 and ProdCom 1.4.0 become messaging providers
A new send-message module owns everything a dashboard sends: the PIN
(switchable off in admin), the unlock tokens, the Send message and Quick
replies tiles, the quick replies and quick emojis. It opens no upstream
connection of its own — it finds every module declaring
provides: ["messaging"] through the shell's module list and hands each
message to that module's POST /messaging/send over loopback, so Slack keeps
its one Slack connection and ProdCom its one ProdCom connection. Providers
check the browser's unlock token with GET /verify over loopback before
touching their upstream, so no browser on the network can post as the
location without having entered the PIN here.

Slack 1.3.0 is view-only plus reactions: the Sending group, PIN, send tiles
and quick replies are gone; it serves the messaging descriptor (channels as
recipients) and its reactions ride on the Send Message unlock. A layout's
old Send message / Quick replies tiles draw nothing until removed.

ProdCom 1.4.0 serves the descriptor as identities — only channels with
typingEnabled, since typed text goes out *as* a channel — and posts with
POST /api/v1/channels/{id}/send. Its tile is a click-to-target like Slack's
(accent stripe along the bottom), and typed entries carry a keyboard mark.

The tiles: click any Slack or ProdCom transcript to point sends there; a
Send as menu (only for platforms with identities, hidden otherwise) picks
the ProdCom channel to speak as; the choice is saved with the tile so named
layouts remember it. Wording follows the role — "Send message to #ops…" /
"Send message to ProdCom as FOH…". The PIN pad's dots ride on a real
numeric input so a phone's keyboard appears. Outcome is an icon beside
Send (check / blocked, five seconds, sentence as tooltip). A pill on the
box's bottom edge trades box height for rows of quick-emoji keys, a row
at a time; the single row scrolls sideways on a narrow tile with Send
pinned in place.

The module guide documents the provider contract and the page bus
(window.proddashMessaging + proddash:messaging:* events) the tiles share;
the ProdCom mock gained the send route.

Waters ChurchandClaude Opus 5 a3e1282354 No campus's address ships in the repo
prodcom-transcript's endpoint defaulted to 10.3.11.152:24480 — Apollo
Beach's ProdCom. A fresh install anywhere therefore came up reading AB's
comms and reported itself healthy doing it: that is exactly what the new
North Attleboro install did. The default is now blank, so a new install
says "No ProdCom server configured" (in red, as the ProPresenter modules
already do for a missing host) until someone points it at the ProdCom for
that location. Setting a host still connects as before.

The same address is out of SPEC.md's worked example, CLAUDE.md's note
about the reference app, and the prodcom-listener snapshot's config,
README and fallback — that fallback now exits with a line telling the
operator what to set, rather than throwing on an empty URL.

Waters ChurchandClaude Fable 5.1 96eff1a5c5 ProdCom 1.3.0: one connection to ProdCom, shared by every dashboard
The module used to proxy each browser's transcript stream to ProdCom one
to one, so N screens meant N upstream connections and N history reads.
It now follows ProdCom once: it keeps the channel list, the groups and
the last 300 entries, and gives every browser a snapshot on connect
(`state`) plus each changed entry as it happens (`entry`), with `clear`
and `status` frames as the link changes. Reconnects back off from 2 s to
15 s, re-read the lists and history, and re-send the snapshot. The tile
no longer loads anything itself; the admin readout says how many channels
and entries the server holds. The /prodcom/* proxy is gone.

Claude a06bc921ce Unified endpoint config type: one Host/IP : Port control in admin
New configSchema type 'endpoint' declared in the module spec: anything
that points at a device or service on the network must be one endpoint
field, rendered identically for every module in /admin as a joined
Host/IP : Port control and stored/handed to the module server as
{ host, port }. Migrates all three connection modules — ProdCom (was a
full URL field), ProPresenter and Timers (were separate host + port
fields). Legacy stored configs (prodcomUrl / flat host+port) keep
working until the admin form is re-saved, at which point the new shape
replaces them. MODULE-GUIDE documents the type and the presentation
rule: no split host/port fields, and full URLs only for genuine web
addresses.

Claude a549bb065a prodcom-transcript module: ProdCom proxy + live transcript tile
Milestone 3. Server part proxies /prodcom/* (SSE passthrough included) to
the admin-configured ProdCom URL, adding the Bearer key server-side so it
never reaches browsers; reports proxy health for the admin page. Client
ports the prodcom-listener UI into the module contract: history load,
live SSE with in-place updates of in-progress speech, channel colors,
channel visibility toggles + group presets (persisted per tile), hard
channel filter / text size / timestamps as instance settings, auto-scroll
with a jump-to-latest pill. tools/prodcom-mock.js simulates ProdCom
(word-by-word in-progress speech) for testing; verified against it,
including kill-and-restart recovery.
