Boards automations are one trigger and one action, with no conditions. Several recipes the team relies on in monday.com need more than that, and monday.com automations aren't imported, so they all have to be rebuilt in Boards by hand.

What's needed

  • Conditions: "only if the item is in this group" and "only if a status is …". Admin Team assigns people per campus this way, and Baptisms uses it heavily.
  • Several actions per automation: for example notify and then archive (General), or move to a group and set a status (Baptisms).
  • Default values for new items: General, NA Production Inventory and NA Multipurpose Room set these today.
  • New trigger: "when an item is moved to a group".
  • New action: "assign the item's creator".
  • Notify more people: the item's subscribers or everyone on the board, with message text that can include the item name, group and board.

Done when the active monday.com recipes on General, Social Media, TO DO, Admin Team, Baptisms and the production inventory boards can all be recreated in Boards.

Later, optional: have the monday.com importer bring recipes across where they map cleanly.
