Anyone on staff should be able to point their AI agent, such as Claude, at Boards and have it do tasks for them, acting as themselves.

Scope

  • Tokens: builds on the personal API tokens in #2. Each agent acts as the person who connected it, with that person's permissions.
  • MCP endpoint: an MCP server endpoint so agents can work in Boards directly. Tools would include: search items, read a board, create an item, change a column, post an update, and list my work.
  • Connecting: consider OAuth sign-in with Google, so people connect an agent by signing in rather than copying a token.
  • Audit: activity and updates show that a change was made through an agent, so the history is clear.

Note: the original request was for agents to do tasks "on Monday". Since Boards is replacing monday.com, this issue targets Boards.
