First commit on the local Gitea server, made after moving the tree off the Windows machine. Build outputs, node_modules and the AI models stay out (see .gitignore); everything the installer build needs is tracked. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Greek WordNet API Integration
The Bible App now uses the Greek WordNet API from Harvard University to provide real word definitions and information in popup cards.
API Source
Greek WordNet API: https://greekwordnet.chs.harvard.edu/api
This is a publicly available API that provides:
- English to Greek word translation
- Greek lemma information
- Synset (meaning) definitions
- Morphological information
How It Works
When you click on an underlined word in the Bible App:
- Word is sent to Greek WordNet API - The English word is translated to Greek
- Greek lemma is retrieved - Gets the base form of the Greek word
- Synsets are fetched - Gets all meanings/definitions for that word
- Data is displayed - Shows in the "Greek WordNet" section of the popup card
What You'll See
The popup cards now show:
- Lexical Form: The Greek word (lemma)
- Morphology: Grammatical information (if available)
- Definition: Meaning(s) from Greek WordNet
- Original Language: Greek
Limitations
Greek WordNet doesn't provide:
- Strong's numbers (G25, H123, etc.)
- Transliteration (agapaō, etc.)
- Bible-specific usage counts
- Cross-references to Bible verses
- Commentary references
For these features, you would need:
- Strong's dictionaries (already integrated in the app)
- Accordance API (when available)
- Other Bible study resources
Testing
Try clicking on these words to see Greek WordNet data:
- love - Should show Greek lemma and definition
- faith - Should show Greek lemma and definition
- god - Should show Greek lemma and definition
- lord - Should show Greek lemma and definition
API Documentation
Full API documentation: https://greekwordnet.chs.harvard.edu/api
Key endpoints used:
/api/translate/en/{word}- Translate English to Greek/api/lemmas/{greekWord}/synsets- Get meanings for Greek word
Notes
- The integration falls back to test data if the API is unavailable
- API requests have a 5-second timeout
- Multiple meanings are combined with semicolons
- The API is free and publicly available (no API key needed)
